Many of you know a hallmark of Waldorf education is no TV and no computer. I follow this except I do watch a video on the weekend with my children on video night. It is something of value, many times foreign. But it is something that I know and I am familiar with. However, every January, for one month, I hook up the wonderful biofeedback video game the "Wild Divine" by Deepak Chopra and my children love it and cherish it. If you are not familiar you basically keep your fingers in sensors...it reads your body temperature. However, the children really believe they are creating things in the magical world with their calm breath and their energy breath. They fly magic carpets, build bridges, set birds free, blow Buddhists horns and tour around in beautiful hot air balloons. If you have not played this yourself, I highly recommend it. It is well worth the price and makes for a rich and imaginative experience that helps them in their daily lives and also helps them to understand how important it is to breath. As a follower of Orgonomy- this also applies to my naturopathic practice-the breath is an important tool and Wild Divine is something I recommend to people every day in my office. My orgonomist Dr. Schiff says "Every emotion and every movement has a breath...."
