Mirror Forms for Young Children: Important and Powerful Lessons in Writing

Here are some of the mirror forms I have been doing with my seven year old.
His favorite thing to do is color them in when we are finished. If you notice there is still a focus on round forms. He really enjoys these and asks to do them week after week. Soon we will be moving on to more advanced forms but for now this is it. We always start off with circles, straight and wavy lines and then we do our form for the day. Always switching hands. Don't under estimate or rush the mirror forms.  This exercise is very important in their development and helps to establish writing and prevents or treats dyslexia. We use the big triangular lyra wax giants crayons and also stockmar.
