Marionettes-or puppets- they are an important part of childhood. These were a long time coming, but I spent time with each child helping them to design their puppets to use in their Ostheimer castle from Germany. Two pieces of silk, a small piece of white wool, some wool for the hair, some cotton knit for the face and some string for the arms is all you need. Easy to put together we used the instructions from a Waldorf craft book. Our new friends lay hanging outside of their beds-friendly reminders of time well spent. Make puppets with your kids today! You can get plenty of material at Weir Crafts in Ann Arbor.
